Demented Promotions backs The Winter Passing. 

We’re 7 today! Demented Promotions ran its first show on Tuesday, 14th February 2006 in The Voodoo Lounge. Since then, we’ve put together well over 250 shows, featuring bands across all genres and continents of the world.

I want to take this time to thank everyone who’s been there from day one, who’ve been there from day 546, who just pop in occasionally and the people who used to come out aswell, you’re welcome back anytime. Thank you to everyone who’s helped Demented in any way, be it sharing gear, driving bands, helping on the door, offering up their home to house touring bands, designed or printed flyers/posters and the people who’ve joined Demented for a length of time. It is truly appreciated. I promise you that. 

Most of all, I want to thank the bands, both back in 2005, that made me want to contribute to this great scene by running shows and all through the time that Demented has existed. It’s been absolutely great to help eachother and put on some of the best shows that I think Dublin has ever seen. I’ve always appreciated the drive and talent that Irish bands that I’ve put on have had and continue to have, which is why Demented has never made a penny off the back of a local band. This years Anniversary show, every year previous and every year in the future will have it’s “profits” divided equally among the bands. This year has a special exception as it is also a fundraiser for Nibiru’s upcoming UK tour. 

My new(ish) band, Vacant is opening the show and then some of my favourite bands and people are going to take the stage for what should be a great night.
